After a spot of lunch from the catering van it was onto the dreaded transformation challenge. This week we had to turn beach towels into some kind of beach wear. For some reason my mind went to a circle skirt. I made a skirt in the last transformation challenge so i’ve no idea why I didn’t treat them to something new and exciting. With no time to think, I settled on this and set about making it. I measured my mannequin and measured out my design onto the towel. I’ve no idea how, but I got my measurements completely wrong and made the waistband too short.
With not much time left, and no time to remake it, I hastily cut out a patch and added it in. It did look ridiculous and it was far too short. I should have added some embellishment to give it a little something. But, alas these ideas don’t come into your head when you’re fighting against the clock, and so I was placed last in this challenge.

I was very disappointed with myself, I should have been able to come up with something a little more imaginative than that skirt! I deserved to be last with that one! Maybe tomorrow I’ll do better with the made to measure, I had to make up for my poor achievements on the first day.
