POSITION | 10th out of 10 |
Time for some fun, and I think this was the most fun I had in all the transformation challenges, I had tears of laughter for almost the whole 90 minutes. I really had no idea what I was doing. I chose a green sleeping bag. I’m sure there are plenty of foods that are green, but all that I had in my head was ‘apple’. I cut the sleeping bag into circles and sewn it together to try and make a sphere. But this didn’t quite work, and I had no opening on my creation to get it on the mannequin. The only answer was to remove the arms off the mannequin and push it over the mannequin’s head and then re-attach the arms. I was on the floor with Joe pushing and squeezing this thing over the mannequin, tears streaming from my eyes. It was ridiculous! I then stuffed it with wadding to try and pad it out a bit. That didn’t work
Esme -“How did this go over the head?”
Joe – “with some force”
With the ‘apple’ on the mannequin, I felt it needed something more to make it more appley, I turned to Liz and said “i’m going to jizz it up” I meant to have said ‘zhuzh it up’. That got me crying with laughter again. This was a disaster, but was so much fun.
I can’t believe I didn’t win! I think the little hat that Patrick tried on really made it! Terese won the challenge, and deservedly so, the grapes that she created were a stroke of genius and so creatively done. I should have done some green grapes!
“I think it’s a pea, no, do I think it’s a pea?… Is it an apple?” – Patrick
