AIR DATE | 13th May 2020 |
CHALLENGE | Transformation Challenge – Cagoule |
TIME ALLOWED | 90 Mins |
POSITION | 4th out of 9 |
There was a delay in starting this challenge. There was a bit of debate about the drawcords in the cagoules. They were a health and safety hazard apparently and didn’t want the audience at home to make something similar and then strangle their child with a drawcord! In the end Patrick just said to us all to remove any drawcords, and so we did.
I have to say, this was my favourite transformation so far. I managed to create a child’s onesie as per the challenge requirements.
I repurposed the cagoule’s arms into trousers and fashioned a hoodie from the remaining fabric. Adding a touch of fur trim gave it a bit of flair, almost like a Bet Lynch outfit for a child!
The onesie fit well and was practical, but Esme felt it lacked imagination. I mean, how creative can you get with a child’s onesie? Still, finishing 4th out of 9 wasn’t too shabby.
“I love a bit of leopard skin, but I just think it isn’t quite imaginative enough” – Esme
