CHALLENGEMade to Measure – Sleep Set
PATTERN USEDVogue Pattern 8888
MATERIALS USEDPurple silky Chameuse fabric
TIME ALLOWED5 Hours

I didn’t make things easy for myself in this challenge. The pattern and fabric were not the best choices. If I had executed the pattern well it would have worked, but because I used the silky, slippery fabric, cut on the bias, the finish was awful. The fabric was actually purple, but the colour grading of the show made it look blue.

The lace was far too heavy for the fabric and the shorts were way too snug. I definitely won’t be making any lingerie in the near future, luckily I don’t have anyone to make them for!

There was a big risk that I was going to go this week. I had an average first day, and my sleep set was a bit of a disaster. But somehow, I got through, I think it was a close call though and it was sad to see Ali go. But as I said at the end of this episode ‘One week at a time’.
